Description: VTG 1920s Photo Tekamah, Burt County, Nebraska. July 4th Parade. The streets are lined with spectators. In one photo we see a small marching band with brass instruments in front. Their uniforms have white pants and dark tops. In another, four horses pull a wagon float with a banner that reads “New Ground, Old Ground.” Finally a small flatbed truck owned by Schroeder Implements of Tekamah, Neb. Is pulling a small cannon around in back. There is an advertisement on the truck for John Deer Farm Implements. In the background, there is a brick building with a sign for Fuller - Norseen Co. Drugs & Jewelry. Great scenes of rural Americana, automobilia, advertising, and patriotism in one image. All three images have sole curling. They show wear typical of 100 year old photos—small corner bumps or creases, light surface scratches, but they still are great collectibles of a rural town 100 years ago that still holds this parade.
