Description: Two Victorian era hand made purses or bags crocheted and sewn. The first purse is all hand crocheted with ball tassels at the end of the bag and envelope flat the top. The handle is a crocheted ring with seven strands that are attached to the top of the bag. No breaks and is excellent condition. 10 1/4" in length including the handle x 6" long without the handle x 4 3/4" wide. The second purse appears to have a cotton or muslim style fabric with crocheted flap and heavy crewel work matching the bottom border. There is an interior envelope with a metal strip on the top to keep the shape. The back of the purse has light surface dirt or toning. The handle displays a cutwork pattern and has a blackish type of metal dirt on it and one of the ball tassels is missing at the bottom edge. Otherwise, the bag is in very good to excellent condition.
