Description: This lot features volumes 1 through 8 of "Muzzleloader Magazine's The Book of Buckskinning," 8.25"x10.75" softcovers edited by William H. Scurlock and published between 1984 and 1999 in Texarkana, TX by Rebel Publishing Company (later Scurlock Publishing Co.). Each issue features many articles about different things you would need to know to survive on the American frontier in the late 18th-early 19th century: guns, knives, clothing, trail foods, hunting pouches, engraving and carving, old-time music and instruments, etc., etc. There are black-and-white illustrations throughout. They range in size from around 200 to 260 or so pages. They're in overall good condition (ranging from acceptable to very good). Vol. I is in acceptable (that is, poor) condition with failing binding, some loose pages, heavy cover wear, torn spine, marks to several pages. Vols 2-4 are in good condition with moderate cover wear (including a couple small creases, tears and chips). Vol. II has a couple marks to the contents page. Vols 5-8 are in very good condition with light cover wear, old price sticker on the front (Vols. 6 & 7). One article in Vol. 7 has pencil underlining.
