Description: Pulled from a functioning 9 speed system. However, the front shifter(left) was feeling sticky, then I took it off to inspect. At this time I noticed the fault. the left shifter (front) shows signs of wear on the inside where the cable routes into and around the assembly. The plastic guide has worn out, split down the middle by the cable, and I have since discarded it. I then reinstalled it after removing the plastic. It started working again. I'm sure this plastic piece was valuable though and I would expect the left front shifter to need a repair soon. The right (rear) 9speed shifter was unremarkable in function, but the cover is split about 2cm and will require replacement, otherwise it will eventually rotate and rise up while in use.
