We have very reasonable shipping terms and combine orders to save money (for customers) on shipping costs. We also maintain customer friendly return/refund/exchange policies. Product Description: This offering is for a pair of new-old-stock Shimano 105SC clip-style pedals (model PD-1055) from the early 90's. These pedals would have been positioned at the entry point for Shimano's competition-level components, so among Shimano's better quality offerings from 20+ years ago. They weigh-in at about 370 grams (for the pair, as pictured), incorporate a one-peice, forged alloy pedal body, a 9/16" chromoly steel axle and a cup-n-cone bearing design that should make for a fairly strong/durable pedal with proper servicing. These pedals pre-date the advent of the clipless pedal system, so they will require matching toe clips (and the proprietary mounting brackets and bolts that anchor the toe clips to the pedals) and straps to function properly. I believe functional straps may be of a fairly generic variety, but the proprietary toe clips and mounting brackets may be more difficult to source. It's my understanding the toe clips mount between the pedal body and the aforementioned brackets (so the brackets are critical to the installation of the toe clips...meaning it's not recommended to bolt the toe clips to the pedals without these brackets). I do not mean to dissuade folks from considering this offering, but please keep in mind the somewhat unique (triangular-shaped-three-hole) mounting bracket design located at the toe-end of these pedals. So just to confirm, this clip-style pedal system includes the base pedal, but does not include the proprietary (three-hole) mounting bracket, factory screws, matching toe clips and toe straps. As a result, these parts will have to be acquired (or recycled) from another source to complete this clip-style pedal system. As for condition, the pedals do not include any of their original retail packaging and it shows in the form of shopwear (scuffs and scratches in the traditional gray enamel finish). I do not believe any of the marks are an indicator of use, but I do believe the pedals have been moved around a shop or have been poorly packed for storage purposes (or probably a combination of both)...and thus the reason for the scuffs and scratches visible in the pictures. I should also note the pedals are functionally sound (maybe some surface rust on the spindle threads...but nothing of any concern). Lastly, I want to confirm the pictures do reflect the next pedal set that will ship in this make/model. We have so few available and they all show some shopwear that we thought it was best to update the pictures for each offering and the pictures do a fairly good job of showing the cosmetic blemishes referred to above. We like to say we generally see more shopwear in person relative to what we see in the pictures, and this is probably still true in this case, but we still think the pictures show enough of the shopwear to give each customer a reasonable expectation of actual pedal condition. Please also note that while we have multiple quantities listed for sale, we will repeatedly update the pictures to reflect the next offering that will sell/ship. Note to international customers regarding shipping... We apologize to those that feel some of our international shipping charges are too high. We only charge actual shipping rates, but once an order exceeds a certain amount, we hesitate to use the least expensive US Postal Services First Class International service. We feel this way, because this service is not trackable or insurable...so more risk of loss. We prefer the US Postal Services Priority Mail International service for more expensive orders, because this service is trackable at USPS.com and insurable...so less risk of loss. Unfortunately, this service is more expensive, especially for smaller/lighter packages, relative to the First Class International service. We are sorry about these higher shipping costs, but hopefully our notes help to explain why this is the case. Note to international customers regarding customs... We also apologize to those that feel their country import taxes, duties and brokerage fees are excessive. As a small US business, we are required by customs' laws to declare each order as a retail sale. Additionally, the declared order value must be equal to total store purchases and/or winning auction bids (less any shipping costs, as these are not considered in the declared value). As a result, each customer will be responsible for paying his/her own country taxes, duties and brokerage fees, which will be collected upon delivery. Again, we apologize for these additional costs, but we cannot afford the penalties and fines that come with breaking customs' laws...so we have to strictly abide by them.
