Description: Pictured is a quite large blue & white stoneware lid available for sale. The lid completes the largest of three (3) sizes of diffused blue & white whipped cream jars produced. It measures 6" in diameter & dates from 1905 - 1925. As seen, the lid has been cracked in half & has been mended. There are two quite small slivers on the top side edge & a large 1 1/2" chip. (Note: A chip is a chip, but by the looks of the large chip it appears it was done intentionally to accommodate a large spoon or ladle. This was likewise done to a number of large water cooler lids to hang a long dipper inside.)
