Description: Heavy Metal: 24 Electrifying Performances: Warner: 1974: 2 LP VG+ Vinyl. This double LP heavy-metal started it all much like the revolutionary Nuggets heralded the rebirth of psychedelia! This heavy metal compilation Spawned many great bands as this was a double album filled with treasures garnered from the vinyl records of these great heavy metal bands! Though today certainly not all of these rock bands would be categorized as heavy metal. For instance Yes, the doors and certainly the Eagles don’t register as "heavy metal" whereas Led Zeppelin , Black Sabbath and Alice Cooper define the genre ! This double album of hits was very important to me growing up as the vinyl contains “24 electrifying performances”, that for me put many of these bands on the map so to speak including Golden Earring the doors Led Zeppelin Jimi Hendrix and Deep Purple among others. This compilation was obviously a labor of love for those responsible fort it's release! I would give the sleeve a very good to very good plus, the vinyl itself is in very good plus condition some would say excellent others would even say near mint. The inlay are just white paper sleeves that Will be replaced with brand new acid free PVC free archival inlays designed to preserve the condition of vinyl records for your listening pleasure in the decades to come. Thank you for viewing my listing.
