Description: T. G. Hawkes & Co. Cut Glass, 1880-1962: Patents, Advertisements, Reprint of a Ca. 1960 Catalog. This is Monograph No. 73 in the glass study series of the West Virginia Museum of American Glass, Ltd. It includes a brief history of the company, with a list of the 25 design patents issued to Hawkes, most of which are reproduced in full in this volume. Also included are nearly 30 pages of trade journal reports and advertisements. The final section reprints an original catalog with line drawings of all the stemware shapes offered by Hawkes in the early 1960s and photographs of their many cuttings.
