Description: Equinox Stop Motion Monster Taurus - Ultra Rare Resin Model w/ COA Fantasy Beast In 1970, “Equinox” opened in theaters; a low budget effort created by fans that also featured a variety of way-cool stop motion monsters folks still cherish today. Here is Taurus, poster boy of the film, recreated as an ultra-rare resin model from 17 years ago, complete, unbuilt, with his signed and numbered COA. This casting is kit #3. Produced back in 2007 by Alternative Images, this kit saw an extremely limited production (probably no more than six), due to its gargantuan size and weight (nearly 10 pounds). Accurately sculpted by Robert Robison, Taurus features crisp detailing and a powerful pose atop a craggy stone base, looking much like the stop motion monster seen onscreen. Also included is the movie’s infamous “Bible of Evil,” the Necronomicon, and the kit’s COA, signed by Robison in ink. The entire model is slickly pressure-cast in solid white resin, with all parts fitting cleanly together (although we would advise pegging everything during assembly). Roughly the size of the film’s original stop motion puppet, Taurus stands approx. 19 ¼” tall x 14” wide x 9” deep once built, and the cursed book is 2” x 2 ½”. One of those truly rare resin monster models that isn’t easily summoned forth, complete, unbuilt, with signed COA, ready to rampage in your world of mythic wonders.
