Description: Very nice antique blue & white stoneware Salt crock with replaced wood lid in all original patina & condition. This is a very nice example, the colors are very pleasing, a home-made wood lid was made for the base. The base is embossed with "SALT" and numerous bird designs. The salt crock is in quite nice condition. There maybe a few very tiny sports of glaze flakes typical of this kind of stoneware. This was intended to be hung on a wall or for table top use. The stoneware salt crock is about 5 3/4" high, the diameter is 6".
