Description: Rare 1964 Wards-Airline Transistor AM Clock radio; Model GEN 1833A. The paper & wax capacitors were replaced with modern equivalents. The cabinet was wet sanded down to 6000 grit and polished to take out the vast majority of the surface scratches and scuffs. There is a very unobtrusive 1/4" hairline crack on the top rear of the cabinet which is barely noticeable. There is also a few small blemishes along the top edge of the clear plastic clock face cover. This thing looks great & sounds even better with great reception across the entire band. The clock runs smoothly & quietly. This radio will be double boxed with plenty of bubble wrap padding to protect it from damage. It will also be insured for the full purchase price. Due to the age of this radio, and the nature of vintage electronics, I cannot guarantee that it will arrive functioning in the same manner, as when I shipped it, since vibrations in shipping can affect the electronics.
