Black painted lettering normally dulled, especially on spine, but legible. Previous ownership bookplate found on front paste-down: Maurice Roberts des Marais. Previous ownership signatures found on front end-page: "Geo M. Erhardt, April 14, 1921" in both pencil and ink. Ink stamp also found on front end-page: "O. P. Erhardt, Model Building. Mechanical and Electrical Designing, West Haven, CT." Front gutter split, binding mesh exposed. Light toning exhibited on edges of leaves. Binding intact, hinges fragile. Please see photos. Clothier Franklin Edminster (1865 - 1932) was head of the Architectural Department of Pratt Institute. He received his training in architecture at Boston Normal Art School. Following his graduation in 1887, he went to Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, where he founded the Architectural Department and had been supervisor for the forty-three years since its organization. As honorary president of the Pratt Architectural Club, he advised and guided many students. A specialist in construction work, he was the author of several books, including one on the use of structural steel and an important textbook, “Architectural Drawing.” Third Edition.
