Description: 100 Dried Canyon Live Oak Acorns - Quercus Chrysolepis - Real Natural These acorns came from several trees in southern California and were hand gathered off the ground in the fall / winter of last season. They were rinsed in plain water, air dried and any with obvious grub holes or breaks were removed. Some of these may have a scrape from landing on a hard surface or a slight split along the side from the drying process. This type of dried acorn has a lighter brown top and a darker brown bottom and are an elongated teardrop shape. They measure about 1/2 inch wide and 1 1/4 inches tall. You will receive acorns similar to those shown in the pictures and a few extra too. These are just the acorns; no caps and they are excellent as bowl filler, decor or for use in many different crafts. These acorns are dried and not suitable for planting but may still be useful as feed for some animals. They come from a smoke-free environment and will be in a plastic bag and shipped in a cushioned envelope via USPS Ground Advantage. Note: I didn't plant the trees these acorns were gathered from. They are described and photographed as accurately as possible, but please message me with any questions you may have.
